Downton Abbey is one of the most successful British television series ever. The first feature film adaptation was released in 2018 and Universal Pictures International needed a marketing campaign that would elevate it from its small screen origins to an event film release that would appeal to a global audience.
Creative Partnership was engaged by UPI to generate and produce all creative assets for the international release. This included ideation/creation of graphic, digital and motion-based marketing assets for international promotional use across print, digital, social, out of home, in-cinema and PR. The film was a huge international success and a sequel is now in post-production – due for release in 2022 – with CP on board once again originating the global marketing campaign.
